Notarial Copy Certification Services in South Florida
Notarial copy certification is a process in which a notary public certifies that a copy of an original document is a true and accurate reproduction. In Florida, notaries may certify copies of certain documents, subject to specific limitations.
What This Service Includes
When performing a copy certification, the notary reviews the original document, compares it to the copy, and completes a notarial certificate stating that the copy is true and correct. The notary then applies their official seal.
Copy Certification of Electronic Documents
When certifying a copy of an electronic document, the notary must print the document or supervise the creation of the copy before completing the certification. Clients should not print electronic documents in advance for copy certification unless instructed to do so.
For electronic documents, clients will need to provide the original electronic file to the notary at the time of certification so the copy can be properly produced.
